Our riders have ridden to honors in the show ring, hunt field and equitation finals.  Awards include Baltimore County Pony Medal winners (2007 & 2008), Junior Horse Medal (2005), Short Stirrup Medal winner (2010), 2nd place (2009), winner Adult Hunter over Fences at Pennsylvania National Horse  Show (2008) and various year end awards in both Baltimore County & Harford Horse Show Associations.

Many of our Featherdown riders participate in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association.  Our team is comprised of an Upper School Varsity and  a Middle School, Futures team.  Greenway@Featherdown has sent both teams, Varsity and Futures, as well as individuals, to IEA National Finals each year since 2010. Interested in joining the Greenway @ Featherdown IEA Team?  Please contact us if you are interested in joining our 2017/18 team.

Featherdown opened in 2005 solely  to provide quality instruction to their clients in a family atmosphere.  The philosophy of our teaching is the education of both horse and rider, with the long term goal to develop competent horseman.

We  offer boarding, training and lessons for the competitive show rider, and compete locally year round.  Team riding is offered for the rider who does not own their own animal and wants to experience competition.

The recreational rider of all ages is welcome as well.  Weekly lessons are offered with emphasis on classic horsemanship and skills that will prepare them for any equine activity they might experience.

Featherdown offers a special program for the smallest of riders. Lessons are "one on one" with the emphasis on balance and feeling of motion while riding on the longe line.  There is no minimum age for our fledgling equestrians.
